We are looking for proactive, adaptable and motivated  Project Scheduler with 5 years of experience overseeing multiple complex projects in the electric utility industry with proven record of working independently with minimal supervision.
Critical Tasks and Responsibilities
 
  • Support electric outage scheduling for the generation organization in the electric utility
  • Assist to set up tasks and sub tasks to ensure satisfactory realization of project contract requirements as scheduled.
  • Log project time-lines and maintain database of tasks and its status.
  • Interact with project staff to schedule work and coordinate assignments.
  • Design and develop project schedule from scratch
  • Interact with project team and task managers to define scope of work to develop and update detailed schedules, cost information and identification of variances from original plan.
  • Evaluate project schedule progress and performance and identify developing problem areas.
  • Analyze critical path and constraints to determine effect of changes to schedule and recommend work-around.
  • Develop and update weekly short interval schedule working with superintendents and field engineers.
  • Support project management team to maintain timely and effective change management processes, procedures and systems.
  • Assist project team to develop and maintain periodic status reports to keep management informed on project progress.
  • Conduct analysis to determine alternative courses of action or recovery on slipped schedules.

 Education
  •  Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field 
  • M.S in Engineering / Business / Construction is a plus
  • 5 yrs of Experience in Electric Utility, Power Plants, Generation field
  • Knowledge, expertise in the construction industry
Technical Expertise
  •  MS Business (Word, Excel, Power Point, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, MS Project)
  • Power Outages Scheduling (Preferred)
  •  Knowledge of Primavera P6
  • Experience in Engineering and/or Construction 
  •  Infrastructure/Generation /Power Plant Construction (a plus) 
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification (desirable) 

Flexible work from home options available.

Compensation: $36.00 - $44.00 per hour
