Project Scheduler

We are looking for proactive, adaptable and motivated Project Scheduler with 5 years of experience overseeing multiple complex projects in the electric utility industry with proven record of working independently with minimal supervision.
Critical Tasks and Responsibilities
- Support electric outage scheduling for the generation organization in the electric utility
- Assist to set up tasks and sub tasks to ensure satisfactory realization of project contract requirements as scheduled.
- Log project time-lines and maintain database of tasks and its status.
- Interact with project staff to schedule work and coordinate assignments.
- Design and develop project schedule from scratch
- Interact with project team and task managers to define scope of work to develop and update detailed schedules, cost information and identification of variances from original plan.
- Evaluate project schedule progress and performance and identify developing problem areas.
- Analyze critical path and constraints to determine effect of changes to schedule and recommend work-around.
- Develop and update weekly short interval schedule working with superintendents and field engineers.
- Support project management team to maintain timely and effective change management processes, procedures and systems.
- Assist project team to develop and maintain periodic status reports to keep management informed on project progress.
- Conduct analysis to determine alternative courses of action or recovery on slipped schedules.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field
- M.S in Engineering / Business / Construction is a plus
- 5 yrs of Experience in Electric Utility, Power Plants, Generation field
- Knowledge, expertise in the construction industry
Technical Expertise
- MS Business (Word, Excel, Power Point, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, MS Project)
- Power Outages Scheduling (Preferred)
- Knowledge of Primavera P6
- Experience in Engineering and/or Construction
- Infrastructure/Generation /Power Plant Construction (a plus)
- Six Sigma Green Belt Certification (desirable)

Compensation: $36.00 - $44.00 per hour
